During DiscoverU Week, October 7-11, 2024, all scholars in grades PreK-12 will participate in activities to explore college and career pathways available in our region. Each day, schools will lead activities aligned with the daily theme.
The theme for Monday, October 7, 2024, is Discover Local Jobs. Scholars will learn about career options in our region.

During DiscoverU Week, October 7-11, 2024, all scholars in grades PreK-12 will participate in activities to explore college and career pathways available in our region. Each day, schools will lead activities aligned with the daily theme.
The theme for Tuesday, October 8, 2024, is Lead Your Community. Scholars will learn about non-profit and public-sector jobs. Many schools also engage in service activities as well.

Talkspace is a free online mental health therapy service available to all FWPS scholars ages 13 and older, at no cost. The service is completely confidential, available 24/7, and includes unlimited text-to-chat therapy and one live virtual therapy session per month with a licensed mental health provider.
All Federal Way Public School staff and students are eligible to install Microsoft Office at home for FREE!
Tutor.com is a free online tutoring service available to all scholars in grades 4-12. Scholars can access one-to-one tutoring in over 200 subject areas, 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive math and reading support, SAT/PSAT prep, stress support, and more. This service can be accessed through Launchpad to Learning.
Launchpad to Learning is the hub scholars use to access all their student online tools in one place.
The Learning Partnership Guide is a tool to assist parents and schools in being on the same page. are available for grades K-12 and in our top 8 languages.
The FWPS Payment Portal is an InTouch online payment site where you can purchase yearbooks, spirit wear and pay for ASB cards, field trips, fines, fees, and more.
ParentSquare is an all-in-one communications tool that allows families to stay connected from anywhere! With ParentSquare, FWPS families will be able to receive all district, school, and classroom communication via email, text/call and or the mobile app app; view school calendars and RSVP for upcoming events; sign up for appointments, receive messages in their home language, and more!
Financial aid is available from the federal government, the state government, educational institutions, and private agencies (foundations).
If you would like to report a school-related safety concern, please call the Safe Schools Tip Line at 253-945-SAFE (7233) or contact the school directly.
The district uses automated messaging to alert parents and guardians if their child has an unexcused absence. If parents have notified their child’s school of the absence, the automated system will not contact them.

FWPS partners with Valley Cities to provide substance abuse support and many other services to students at FWPS middle and high schools that do not require insurance or co-pays. Schools that partner with Valley Cities have an assigned clinician. Reach out to your school counselor for more information on how to access these services.
The McKinney-Vento Education of Homeless Children and Youth Assistance Act is a federal law that ensures immediate enrollment and educational stability for homeless children and youth.
