School Improvement Plan

SMARTIE Goal #1 (MATH)

Increase the percentage of scholars passing their Math classes from 60% to 80%. Achieve a 20% improvement in passing rates of Multilingual scholars, scholars with IEPs, Hispanic, and Asian scholars the 2025-2026 academic year. We will increase our SBA passage rate by 5%.

SMARTIE Goal #2 (ELA)

Increase the percentage of scholars passing their ELA classes from 60% to 80%. Achieve a 20% improvement in passing rates of Multilingual scholars, scholars with IEPs, Hispanic, and Asian scholars the 2025-2026 academic year. We will increase our SBA passage rate by 5%. 

SMARTIE Goal #3 (Whole Child)

In collaboration with learning coaches, we will increase K-5 scholars' school engagement from 56% to 80% as measured on the Panorama survey. For scholars in grades 6-12, we will increase school engagement from 31% to 50%. Hispanic scholars, ML and SSS scholars’ engagement will increase from 23% to 53% by the end of the 2025-2026 academic year. 

SMARTIE Goal #4 (Persistence to Graduation)

We will increase our graduation rate from 55% to 70% and decrease the number of scholars who drop out of iA from 29 down to 19. We will increase the graduation rate for ML and SPED scholars by the same amount.

Develop and implement with fidelity a culturally responsive standards-aligned, guaranteed and viable curriculum, instruction, and assessment system in ALL core subjects in every school and every classroom

Ensure systems for social-emotional support (Culturally Responsive PBIS, Second Step, SEL integrated throughout, Character Strong, Zones of Regulation, Kelso Choices) are implemented school-wide; all staff and students are taught, provided with frequent feedback to implement with fidelity.  
Design, implement, and monitor a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to adhere and respond to academic and social-emotional needs of students toward master of core subjects.
