Principal's Message

Dear Family,

Are you looking for a school where you can study from home and at your own pace? Do you want or need a flexible school schedule? Are there family or friends around who will help you stay on track? Then Internet Academy might be right for you!

Internet Academy is the first online public school in Washington State, founded in 1996. Our teaching staff is experienced in providing a high-quality education online. Our program has synchronous and asynchronous requirements. Scholars attend required live Zoom classes for approximately 1-2 hours per day. The rest of the day, scholars decide their school schedule. 

Successful scholars have a learning coach, such as a parent or other older adult, who works with them to create and follow a schedule. Scholars complete asynchronous lessons and submit assignments on Canvas. Teachers host support times every week on Zoom, when scholars can get additional help from the teacher.

We are an ideal school for scholars who want or need a flexible schedule, for scholars with family or friends who can support their learning, and for scholars who like being independent.
